dbOrchestra FAQ

This is the space where you get to know us as much as you can. We looked extensively at what other sites in and out of our genre were doing. Most of what we read sounded okay, but it really did not communicate to us what the company was about. We decided to be different and a bit more forthright. It is funny, but we were advised that the way we wrote this page might actually cost us some business. After great debate and discussion we decided, what the heck, this is who we are and what we really believe.

What We Value

  • Passion
  • Integrity
  • Efficiency
  • Candor
  • Transparency

The Talk We Walk

  1. If I can only choose one path to knowledge that path will always be practical experience. Get your hands dirty! Never tell someone how to do something that you have never done yourself.
  2. When I am asked a question I do not know I view it as a potential opportunity to learn something new.
  3. When I am asked a question I do not know I say “I don’t know”. A number one complaint I hear from customers, friends, and co-workers is that they hate when someone makes up an answer to a question they do not know the answer for! People will respect you for saying “I don’t know”.
  4. Be personally accountable for all that you do.
  5. Do not confuse disagreement with “lacking respect”. Be professional, but be critical of ideas not people. It is vital that we scrutinize and voice our opinions in an effort where the outcome is to truly produce a “better mousetrap”. Silence and consensus serves absolutely no benefit in producing better products or processes. Throw these at the proverbial wall, what sticks let stick, what does not was not meant to be on the wall. If your motivation for criticism is anything other than what I have said then you should be quiet. Team players stir the pot in appropriate ways!
  6. Seek to solve problems and help others. Let others help you. The latter is a great sign of strength, not weakness and one that most of us do not nearly practice enough.
